1. Download the windows installer of your language using the link above.
2. If you are asked whether to save the file or run it, choose to run it.
3. If your only option is to save the file - save it; when the download ends, run the installer by double clicking it in windows explorer.

1. Download the Mac installer of your language using the link above.
2. Once downloaded, double-click the DMG file to run it. This should open a window showing "The Number Race.app".
3. Drag "The Number Race.app" to your /Applications directory in Finder.

1. Download the universal installer of your language using the link above and save it to a temporary directory.
2. Open terminal.
3. Find the directory of the downloaded file (in Linux or Mac, type: cd /the_download_directory_you_used).
4. Install the game by typing: java -jar the_installer_file_you_downloaded.jar
   You can check here whether you have java installed on your system

An older version of The Number Race (2.3) is available in more languages and can be downloaded from here:

Dutch, Finnish, English (US), German, Spanish, or Italian.

Download the file and unzip it to a directory on your computer. To run the game:
Windows: double-click the "doubleClickToPlay.bat" file.
Linux/Mac: open terminal, go to the directory in which the game is located (cd /the_directory), and type:
java -cp jmat_5.0.jar:bsh-core-1.2b7.jar:numberrace.jar:. graphics.Game

For some languages, both versions 2.3 and 3.x of The Number Race are available. We recommend using version 3.x, but if you prefer the older version you can download it here: French, Swedish, Finnish.

We have recently been made aware that somebody is selling copies of "The Number Race" under a different name ("Number Magic"). This company ("DyscalculiaNoMore") is charging $49.00 US to download an illegal copy of our software, and has advertised widely on the internet using a variety of websites, using exaggerated claims about the software. The exact same software has always been FREE to download right here. Our laboratory has no affiliation with the company "DyscalculiaNoMore", which is misleading its customers and violating our software license.
